Candelaria makes visible the role of women in gastronomy

The Candelaria City Council yesterday took another step in the visibility of women and 8M with the Gastronomy is Feminine conference, in collaboration with the Federation of Cooks and Pastry Chefs of Spain and the Association of Cooks and Pastry Chefs of the Canary Islands.

The Candelaria Technological Center (CtCan) was the venue for the conferences in which various presentations and round tables were held. Cooking with success was the name chosen for the second round table with the participation of Laura Sánchez, pastry chef from Habatonka Factoría Dulce; Diana Marcelino, executive chef at the El Secreto de Chimiche restaurant, and Livía Gomes da Silva, room manager at the Bollullo Oasis restaurant in Candelaria.

The day closed with a dialogue between Fernando Fuentes, chef of the Nub restaurant (1 Michelin star), and Mari Brito, mayoress of Candelaria, called The recipe for haute cuisine.

In addition, Pepa Muñoz, president of the Federation of Cooks and Pastry Chefs of Spain and Chef and owner of El Qüenco de Pepa, left a message to the attendees in which she congratulated all the women, especially those who in one way or another They are linked to gastronomy.
