During the celebration of the Island Committee, Pedro Martín highlighted the municipal nature of his island project, with an equitable distribution of resources for the 31 municipalities of Tenerife. “We defend municipalism as a sign of identity, putting an end to a Cabildo that managed money arbitrarily,” said Martín, to recall that “for the first time in the history of the Cabildo” employment plans have been launched in the 31 municipalities , as well as social care programs to reach the families that have suffered the worst during these years”. “And we have done it without demanding a photo from anyone, without handing out checks in large events; our criterion, that of the Socialist Party, is a solidarity criterion, far from any type of prominence and clientelist models, ”he said.
Martín recognized those who have represented the PSOE in the last four years in the Cabildo de Tenerife. In addition, he raised the axes of his project for the Island, where the promotion of employment and the productive sectors, sustainability and citizen participation in decision-making stand out.
