The twelfth edition of Tecnológica Santa Cruz will take place from 23 to 26 This month at the Teatro Guimerá and the Espacio R – Centro de Arte La Recova, and in it the main trends of Information and Communication Technologies will be addressed by almost twenty national experts.
This initiative, for which more than a hundred speakers have already passed throughout its history, and which is the longest running ICT event of these characteristics in Spain, will focus on topics such as artificial intelligence, communication and digital content creators, and will be complemented over the weekend with an event dedicated to Asian culture, K-pop and video games.
The presentation of this new edition was attended yesterday by the mayor, José Manuel Bermúdez; the CEO of the Development Society, Alfonso Cabello, and the director of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the European University of the Canary Islands, José Serrano.
Bermúdez, in his speech, highlighted the importance of forums such as Tecnológica, “since it is where we value examples of local and foreign successes to continue improving our levels in information and communication technologies.”
Cabello announced that this edition “is arousing considerable expectation among the public, which has meant that without announcing the list of speakers, almost 200 seats have already been acquired for the traditional day of conferences on the afternoon of Thursday, March 23, whose tickets are available at the price of two euros for social purposes in the Web”.
Regarding the program, this edition will have a novelty compared to other years, starting on the morning of Thursday 23 with a series of conferences aimed at the educational community and training centers in Guimerá. Later, at the same location, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., the traditional day of conferences will take place by national experts and local content creators.
For the weekend, the Espacio R – La Recova Art Center will host, from Friday the 24th to Sunday the 26th, video games and Asian culture, in which there will be e-sports competitions, samples of digital artists and free dance exhibitions K -pop, whose contest will be held separately.
On this occasion, the Thursday afternoon session will be hosted by the popular Twitch streamer, creator of digital content for more than six years and ambassador of Twitch Spain, Mery Soldier. Likewise, she will be accompanied by the Canarian comedian and visible face of Palante Producciones Darío López.
The traditional Technological session will feature interventions by content creators and communication and digital professionals. Thus, among the speakers at this edition stand out the businessman, lecturer and expert consultant in the development of a positive mental attitude in teams through motivation, Emilio Duró; the co-founder of DoWe and Female Startup Leaders Silvia Rivela and the co-founder and CEO of the healthcare startup HumanITCare Nuria Pastor.
Other relevant speakers are the youtuber Andrea Compton, who has almost 700,000 subscribers on her channel; Alicia Asín, co-founder and CEO of Libelium, a Spanish company that designs and manufactures wireless sensors for smart cities; the co-founder and CEO of Vizz Agency, Xavi Robles, head of the largest agency of Spanish-speaking content creators and names like Elrubius, Paula Gonu or Willyrex; the technology-based entrepreneur and communicator Pau Garcia-Milà, or the creator of humorous content, with more than 11 million followers on Tik Tok, Nachter. The professor of Journalism at the University of Navarra, Ramón Salaverría, will also participate.
