SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, March 6 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The national spokesperson for Ciudadanos, Patricia Guasp, has asked the president of Congress, Meritxell Batet, to allow the effects of the office in the Lower House of former socialist deputy Juan Bernardo Fuentes Curbelo, alias ‘Tito Berni’ and presumed head of the ‘Mediator’ plot.
The judge investigating the case has asked Batet during this day to provide “authorization and collaboration” for the Technical Secretariat to deliver to the Police the “effects” deposited in this office.
According to the Constitution, “the General Courts are inviolable” and requires the authorization of Batet based on the Criminal Procedure Law (LeCrim), which establishes that “the judge will need, for the entry and search in the Palace of any of the bodies co-legislators, the authorization of the respective president”.
“We ask Batet to bring the office of ‘Tito Berni’ to justice,” Guasp asked at a press conference from the Cabildo de Tenerife, understanding that the former deputy is allegedly involved in “very serious crimes.”
In principle, Congress has no objection to providing the judge with the personal effects and computers that Fuentes Curbelo left in the office.
ORAMAS DOES NOT SUPPORT ITS COMMISSION OF INVESTIGATION
On the other hand, Guasp has revealed that the leader of the Canary Islands Coalition (CC) in Congress, Ana Oramas, does not support the commission of investigation into the ‘Mediator’ case in the Lower House requested by the ‘oranges’.
Ciudadanos was the first party to request the opening of an investigation commission on the ‘Mediator’ case in Congress, although it needs the support of other groups to start the process because it lacks the number of deputies necessary to start it, something that still he has not got it. Yes, the PP has registered it and the ‘oranges’ are expected to support it.
Guasp has insisted on describing the case as a “true shame” and has indicated that “the corruption of the PP and the PSOE is the gangrene of democracy and of Spain and it must be nipped at the root.” “‘Mediator’ is of a repulsive magnitude,” he has sentenced.
