SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 23 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The deputy of the Nationalist Group Narvay Quintero took advantage this Thursday of a debate on the validation of a decree-law that regulates the zero rate of the IGIC for certain goods in livestock to urge the Chamber to “dignify” the work of the officials of the Ministry of Agriculture that “has nothing to do” with “what is falling” in the ‘Mediator case’.

Before the plenary session of Parliament, he has demanded “transparency and justice” in this case and, as with the officials, he has also asked to “dignify” the workers of the livestock subsector who with “professionalism” strive every day to produce products for citizens .

Quintero has assumed that we are living a “sad moment” for the Canarian livestock and has specified that although he does not want to “prosecute” Parliament or suggest that the PSOE is a “corrupt” party due to “specific cases”, he has stressed that “other they have done it” with the nationalist formation “and for less than this”.

Juan Manuel García Casañas (PP) has pointed out that the Canarian livestock subsector “is embarrassed” by the ‘Mediator case’ because when some farmers “did not have money to feed their animals, others went to Madrid for other issues”.

Ventura del Carmen has commented that the Socialist Group is not going to “deviate” from its management and to make “efforts” to help the livestock subsector in order to move forward after the harsh consequences of the pandemic and the invasion of Ukraine. “We will not stray from our path come rain or fall,” he said.
