SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 14 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The General Assembly of Más Canarias has decided to declare itself as a “non-aligned actor” as long as the policy of “blocks” is maintained on the Canarian left and which has given rise to two confluences, one made up of Podemos, Sí se Puede and IUC and another with Drago and Equo project.
Javier Navarro, general coordinator of the training, determines in a note that “it is time to listen to the feelings of the citizenry and overcome partisan interests.”
In Más Canarias they believe that at this moment “there are actors who are hoping for a train crash” that will subtract representation from space and asserts that “with all the urgencies and needs of the islands” the leftist forces cannot give up. “Unity is necessary,” he says.
From the party they also assure that they will not remain “idly by” in the face of this situation and make a “public appeal” to all the formations involved in the confluences to “build bridges”.
“We will sit down with each and every one of the people who have the will to reverse this irresponsibility,” he says.
Más Canarias considers that being, almost exclusively, the only actor that has not opted for any of the coalitions, it is the “only” one that can take on the role of mediator at this time.
“We offer ourselves to be the glue of the left. If we have to superimpose our own interests on those of the group, we will do it,” he details.
Thus, in the coming days they will send invitations to the other parties in the green, progressive and left spaces both to participate in bilateral talks and in round tables with various actors. “We are committed to being a neutral actor that achieves what the street already wants, that is, to add,” he added.
