The Highway area of the Cabildo de Tenerife releases to public information the project to rehabilitate the surface of the TF-215 highway on its route between La Matanza and El Sauzal. This action will have a budget of 1.5 million euros and will have a term of execution of six months from its tender.

The project foresees a comprehensive action on the TF-215, which begins its route on Calle Real, whose starting point is at the roundabout that connects with the TF-217. From there, it continues along Calle Rafael Ramos and extends to the connection with the TF-5 regional interest road of Lomo El Espigón.

The First Vice President and Island Councilor for Highways, Enrique Arriaga, details that among the planned actions “we will extend a new surface layer, we will adapt the edges of the road, we will improve the side walls in poor condition and we will replace the drainage bars with new drains.” In addition, it adds that “canopies will be placed at three bus stops located and the lampposts and supply networks that occupy part of the ditches will be moved.”

Arriaga recalls that throughout this mandate “systematic intervention is being made to rehabilitate the insular road network, which was in very poor condition as a result of intensive use and poor maintenance” and adds that “on many roads decades ago in which it was not invested”.

For the insular director of Roads of the insular Corporation, Tomás Félix García, it is “a necessary project that will facilitate the transit of vehicles and increase road safety.” Likewise, he assures that it is “a performance of great caliber since it covers more than three kilometers of highway that extends between two municipalities.”
