The CEO of Citizen Participation and Diversity of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Nauzet Gugliotta, attended this Friday the opening in La Laguna of a registration support service for migrants arriving on the island.
Under the slogan ‘Solidarity on the Move’, this resource has just opened its doors through the Social Solidarity Venezuela association, with the insular collaboration, to provide free assistance to migrants who are in the process of regularization, in terms of advice, information and support.
The office is located at Avenida Leonardo Torriani 59, and will also serve as an information point on resources and aid for social inclusion and support for victims of discriminatory treatment and racism.
The CEO highlighted the importance of having this service, “in line with the work that we promote from the Cabildo, in collaboration with the associative fabric, to accompany the migrant population, promote their social inclusion, access to their rights and their full participation and integration in society.
Gugliotta indicated that “the objective of this resource is to help migrants in their first steps, with special attention to documentation and registration procedures.”
For her part, the president of the association, Marcela Máspero, explained that information and accompaniment will also be provided for other administrative regularization procedures, such as education, residence and health care, as well as legal and legal advisory services, collects a note from the Cabildo .
