SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 10 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Hilda Siverio, the Canarian ‘influencer’ known for her positive and vitalist work in the fight against cancer through social networks, died this Thursday at the age of 52 after almost a decade with breast cancer.

“The end always surprises, even if it is written from the beginning. Don’t forget to smile. I will do it from heaven,” his family wrote on his own Instagram account as a farewell.

The death of Siverio, with more than 332,000 followers on Instagram, has caused a commotion on the islands as she was much loved for her integrity and her affectionate way of coping with the disease with videos in which she always recommended enjoying life until the last second.

A few days ago, she even appeared on the networks with a blue wig and a mask, covered in glitter and with red lips, taking advantage of the imminent start of the carnival in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

His three children, in an emotional letter through social networks, have said goodbye to their mother.

“With a heavy heart and eyes full of tears, my favorite person has left. I don’t know how to say goodbye to you and I don’t want to do it either,” collects the letter made public through Instagram in which they refer to love, time and death, very present in the life of the family in recent years.

“Death, you have hit us where it hurts the most, straight to the heart, but let me tell you that no one dies if it is never forgotten and be clear that my heart does not forget it,” the letter concludes.

The mayor of the capital, José Manuel Bermúdez, has described Siverio as a “tireless fighter” and an “example of life” in the face of adversity.

“A joy that goes out in our day to day, but that will remain in the collective memory. No one like her to teach us to live and continue with a positive attitude despite everything. We are left with your eternal smile. Goodbye, friend”, has commented.

The president of the Cabildo, Pedro Martín, who recalled his “eternal smile”, expressed himself in similar terms.

“He has left us, but his vitality and energy to help others will remain forever. He was able to become strong in the face of pain, to hold on a little longer to enjoy the life he loved so much,” he said.
