An English citizen has been sentenced this Monday for the Provincial Court of Tenerife adyears in jail and pay 22,000 euros as the perpetrator of a crime of gender violence, mistreatment, recklessness and serious injuries of which he was the victim of his partner, to whom he tore off half a finger.
He must also stay at least half a kilometer away from the woman for five years, not communicate with her by any means and complete one year of work in favor of the community.
The Prosecutor’s Office has agreed to suspend the entry into prison, conditional on the punctual payment of the civil liability monthly payments, and the sentence has been accepted by agreement of the parties, without the need to hold an oral hearing.
The facts they took place around 5 pm on September 13, 2021 when the couple was at their common home in Costa del Silencio, in the municipality of Arona.
At that moment an argument began, in the course of which the now convicted man pushed the young woman several times, for which she decided to leave the house.
But the man chose to follow her and virulently closed the main door of the house, cutting off half of the third finger of her left hand. As a consequence of it, the woman suffered the amputation of the phalanx and injuries to her right arm.
For his cure, a first medical assistance and three surgical operations were necessary, the last one to build the stump, which occurred for 157 daysin which he could not develop a normal life.
The victim He suffers as a sequel the total loss of the phalanx, functional limitation in the corresponding joint and aesthetic damage classified as medium.
In principle the Public ministry requested four years in prison and payment of compensation that would be decided during the execution of the sentence, but an agreement has been reached.
