SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 31 Jan. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The unions USO-CANARIAS, MSK, FsSMC-UGT and CC.OO, members of the Strike Committee of the Titsa Urban Service in Santa Cruz, have agreed to maintain the call for an indefinite strike that will affect all urban lines from 17 February, given the lack of “real commitment” demonstrated to date by the transport company and by the Municipal Corporation.

Through a statement, the unions have informed that they attended the meeting that Titsa’s management proposed to address the strike notice call last Wednesday, January 25, but they point out that in said meeting “the existence of working hours was demonstrated work to be carried out on days that are officially rest days for the workers and only the social part showed up at the meeting with measures that would solve the conflict”.

They also add that the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council stated in a municipal plenary session held last Friday that it would commit to “actively” mediating in this conflict, and yet, in the following days, different councilors from the government team have been downloading the responsibility once again in the Titsa company, point out the union organizations.
