On January 23, tickets for the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Murgas Contest went on sale. They lasted 20 minutes on sale. They literally flew. But, like every year, something is repeated: during the phases, like the first one, yesterday, the empty seats become the majority.
Many of the people who attended the first phase of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Murgas Contest watched how, as the night progressed, the Fairgrounds were becoming empty. “This is what happens when you go to see only a murga,” said a Twitter user.
Other, @AndreaGirlcolor He considered that it was “a shame” to later contemplate, even in the front rows, many empty seats, taking into account that there were many people who were left without a ticket and others who wanted to do business by putting up seats for sale.
The first to go on stage at the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Murgas Contest were the members of Tiralenguas, winners of the last murgas contest held in the north, 2020, and who this year have been invited, as is traditional, to participate in the contest of Santa Cruz. At that beginning, the Fairgrounds presented a great appearance but, paradoxically, when Burlonas, one of the most applauded of the night, went on stage, as revealed by @garefe9 the image was much worse.
Today the second phase will take place at 8:30 p.m. The Diablos Locos -winners of the 2022 edition-, Mamelucos, La Sonora, Klandestinas, Tras con Tras, Ni Pico-Ni Corto and Sofocadas, which premieres this year, will open the fire.
