SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Jan. 22 (EUROPA PRESS) –

Santander has supported SMEs and the self-employed in the Canary Islands with 25 million euros of financing, representing a share of 53%, positioning itself as the leading entity in ICO loans in the Canary Islands in 2022, as reported by the bank.

Almost all of this financing was allocated to the ICO Companies and Entrepreneurs Lines. Throughout Spain, the amount was 475 million and was formalized through a total of 4,800 operations.

The activities supported by these Companies and Entrepreneurs Lines refer to fundamental aspects for business activity, such as technological needs, acquisition of new or second-hand fixed assets, passenger cars and industrial vehicles, adaptation and reform of facilities, acquisition and creation of companies, liquidity needs such as current expenses, payroll, payments to suppliers, purchase of merchandise or rehabilitation of homes and buildings for individuals.

The ICO Lines finance the activity of businessmen, freelancers, entrepreneurs or businesses, in the short, medium or long term, for any type of investment. They are designed to meet the needs of all types of companies, of any size and activity sector, from small investment projects to the international expansion of a company, with long amortization and grace periods.

In addition to the Companies and Entrepreneurs Lines, the other Lines that Santander has supported have been the SGR/SAECA Guarantee Line, the ICO Commercial Credit Lines, ICO International Lines and ICO Exporters Lines. The bank has turned to making this financing available, carrying out the process in an agile manner and resolving the proposals of Spanish businessmen and self-employed persons as quickly as possible.
