SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Jan. 22 (EUROPA PRESS) –
Arturo García, one of the members of the murga from Telde Los Nietos de SaryMánchez, died yesterday Saturday during a performance at the Cine Víctor, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, as a result of a heart attack.
The Telde City Council has lamented the sudden death of Arturo García. The councilman of Festejos, Servando González, has conveyed the dismay of the municipal Corporation at this event and condolences to his family and his loved ones.
Likewise, it extends its condolences to the rest of the members of Los Nietos de Sarymánchez, “a family united by love for carnival and by friendship.”
For its part, the municipal group Juntos por Telde (CC-CCD) has also deeply regretted the loss of Arturo García. The Councilor for Culture, Juan Martel, who expressed his condolences to his family, friends and colleagues for the sad event, was present at the performance given by the murga and accompanied the rest of the murga members.
The deputy mayor of Telde, Héctor Suárez, thanked the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council, its mayor, José Manuel Bermúdez, and its Councilor for Fiestas, Alfonso Cabello, for their full collaboration and commitment in these difficult times and conveyed his condolences and the other members of the murga to the relatives and friends of Arturo García.
The Telde PP has also sent a big hug to all the family and friends of Arturo García and has highlighted that the murga represents one of the best things about Telde.
The mayor of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, through his official Facebook account, has expressed his dismay at the news of the death of Arturo García and has wanted to express his condolences and all his solidarity with his family and all the members of the murga.
Numerous Carnival groups have also joined in the condolences for the death of the Los Nietos de SaryMánchez component. This is the case, for example, of the Tenerife murga Los Bambones, who wanted to extend all their support and affection to the members of the murga from Telde, as well as to family and friends in these difficult times.
Arturo García was a physio at UD Las Palmas for 16 years. The club has mourned his death and has stressed that he was a great professional, a magnificent person and leaves a deep mark on the entity. Similarly, he has conveyed his condolences to his family, friends and the great yellow family.
