The Arona City Council will reopen the Eureka municipal toy library next week, located in the Cabo Blanco Civic Center. It is a completely free service so that children of the municipality, from the age of four, can go to carry out a multitude of recreational and educational activities, promoting their affective, social, engine and intellectual, as indicated by the Consistory in a note.
The Councilor for Social Services, Ruth Lorenzo, points out that “the municipal toy libraries constitute a leisure offer for the community in general and teach the little ones to enjoy and take advantage of free time in a healthier and more positive way.” And he added: “With the Eureka toy library, a free municipal resource, we respond to citizen demand to facilitate conciliation at home for families who need it, as well as offer leisure spaces to the smallest.”
The registration period is now open. Those interested only have to make an appointment through the telephone number 628367676, from Monday to Friday from 12:00 to 15:00. The opening hours of the toy library, which is active from Tuesday to Friday, is divided into two blocks depending on the age of the users. During the school period it is from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. for children from 4 to 7 years old, and from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. for users over 8 years old, while during school holidays it is operational from 10 :00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (from 4 to 7 years old) and from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (from 8 years old).
«The Eureka toy library offers a wide variety of toys and activities to promote different aspects that will help children in their personal development. They will be accompanied at all times by the toy librarians, specialized professionals, who will direct the games, ”says the City Council. “Among the activities there are motor games, board and construction games, a craft and cooking workshop and a reading corner, among others, as well as outdoor activities,” indicates the Aronera institution.
