The City Hall of La Victoria de Acentejo has received help from more than one million euros to start renovating its obsolete drinking water supply network and reduce the high losses generated by leaks from this inefficient system. The mayor of the municipality, Juan Antonio Garcia Abreu (PSOE)celebrates the arrival of “this important economic amount that will serve to continue working for our town” and to advance a long-term objective, which is the total improvement of the system of pipes that carry water for human consumption to homes and companies of this municipality of just over 9,000 inhabitants.
These funds will be transferred to the northern municipality through the Regional Council for Ecological Transition, Fight Against Climate Change and Territorial Planningcoordinated by the socialist adviser Jose Antonio Valbuena. “They have given the go-ahead to the project that we presented to improve the water supply network and reduce leaks and that will allow us to receive these European funds,” celebrates the president.
