SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Jan. 13 (EUROPA PRESS) –
Visocan has invested 5.7 million euros in the rehabilitation and repair of 3,178 homes in the Canary Islands, which represents more than half of its housing stock, which amounts to more than 6,000 properties throughout the archipelago.
The actions carried out in the last two years by the public company involve a comprehensive rehabilitation of the buildings and their surroundings, ranging from the rehabilitation of facades and roof terraces, to stairs, interior common areas or parks and gardens, as well as painting, collects a note from the company.
Specifically, action has been taken on 1,301 homes belonging to 20 developments in the province of Las Palmas and on 1,877, out of 22 developments, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
This initiative, Visocan points out, represents a very important improvement for the quality of life of the residents, at the same time that it promotes that the houses do not deteriorate.
The maintenance of the houses constitutes one of the main requests of the residents, since it helps them to continue enjoying a home in good conditions, and from Visocan it is understood that it is not only a matter of building new public housing, but also of rehabilitating the existing housing stock to ensure its habitability in optimal conditions.
For this reason, the objective is to preserve all the houses in its public park in optimum condition, as part of the heritage of the Autonomous Community and, of course, of the families that live in them.
