The mayor of the capital of TenerifeJosé Manuel Bermúdez, has announced this Thursday that as of next week there will be two new lNight bus lines in Santa Cruz de Tenerifeand in addition, the schedule of the eight hours that are most in demand in urban public transport will be extended.
One of the new night lines, 975, will link the Interchange with the La Gallega neighborhood at 11:30 p.m., 1:30 a.m. and 3:05 a.m., while return trips will be made at 12:15 a.m., 2:15 p.m. and 3:50 a.m. , and these buses will go through Taco, Tíncer, Los Majuelos and El Sobradillo.
The other new line, 970, will leave the Interchange at 11:30 p.m., as well as at 12:30 a.m., 1:30 a.m., 3 a.m. and 4:15 p.m., to transport users to Valleseco, María Jiménez and San Andrés, from where the buses will depart at 11:55 p.m., 12:55 a.m., 03:55 p.m., 03:25 a.m. and 04:40 a.m.
As for the extension of the eight lines with the highest demand, it will affect 905, in which night hours will be extended until 0:30 a.m. on weekdays and until 1:10 a.m. on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, while on 904, from Weyler to Cuesta Piedra, the last departure will leave on weekdays at 11:20 p.m. and at 11:30 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
The line that joins Intercambiador, Santa Cruz, Acorán, Costa Negra and Boca Cangrejo will have the first exit at 6:20 a.m., and the last will be at 9:30 p.m., and line 934, which joins Intercambiador, Taco, and Santa María del Mar, will extend the hours until 1.15.
Line 936, Intercambiador, Santa Cruz, Santa María del Mar, Taco, Intercambiador, extends its hours until 0:45 a.m., and line 906 will extend it until 1 a.m., while line 919 will extend its hours until 9:45 p.m. on business days and until 9:30 p.m. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
Bermúdez has presented these novelties at a press conference together with the councilors Dámaso Arteaga and Evelyn Alonso, and has commented that work has been going on for a long time to give a boost to urban collective transport, which, along with cleaning, is the one that receives the most economic resources. requires more than 13 million euros per year.
The mayor has indicated that with this effort, in which 700,000 euros will be invested this year, the capital of Tenerife is preparing for free bus transport, which began this year, and which has led to an unquantified increase in passengers in the city.
