SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Jan. 12 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The spokesman for the Government of the Canary Islands, Julio Pérez, has admitted this Thursday that the Executive does not have the “adequate speed” to cover the workforce in charge of managing the Next Generation funds, in line with what is included in the latest report from the Hearing of Accounts.
In a press conference to give an account of the agreements of the Governing Council, he said that interim personnel are partly used and the objective is that there is no substitution of personnel since “they are already trained” in the processing of these projects.
Pérez has assumed that “it is difficult to fill all the vacancies” and highlighted the paradox that the high unemployment figures on the islands “coexist” with the difficulty in filling job offers, both in the public and private sectors.
However, he has insisted that he is “advancing and giving stability to the human teams”.
