SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 10 Jan. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The president of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Pedro Martín, announced this Tuesday a reinforcement of the work that has been carried out since December 15 in the La Campana industrial estate, in the municipality of El Rosario, doubling the shifts and extending the hours from Monday to Sunday, so they can finish as soon as possible.

This was reported during the visit he made, together with a group of companies from the industrial estate – the mayor, Escolástico Gil, was not invited – to one of the areas where the first works to improve the industrial estate facilities are being carried out industry and the construction of rainwater facilities, which has a total investment of 13 million euros, 90% financed by the Cabildo de Tenerife, 9% by businessmen and women, and 1% by the municipal corporation .

The visit was attended by the Island Councilor for Employment, Socioeconomic Development and Foreign Action, Carmen Luz Baso, the CEO of Gestur, Juan Miguel Martín Zarza; the Gestur construction manager, Manuel Galván, and the president of the La Campana Industrial Estate Conservation Entity, Facundo García, along with other business representatives from the area and from the winning joint venture.

Pedro Martín emphasized “the situation of deterioration and abandonment that has been dragging the La Campana industrial estate for many years and that with these works we hope to be able to resolve once and for all, fulfilling one of the objectives that we set ourselves in this mandate and giving a definitive boost to the activity of the more than 300 companies that operate in the area”.

The president of Tenerife recalled that since the arrival of the current government team, the necessary steps have been taken to resolve this situation.

Regarding the planning of the works, he assured that “they will be carried out in coordination with the companies of the industrial estate, so that in no case do they hinder the normal development of their activity and he proposed to the businessmen to hold periodic meetings to give them a detailed account of the works “.

This proposal was very well received by the president of the polygon’s conservative entity, Facundo Santana, who highlighted “the dialogue that the current island government maintains with businessmen in the area” and thanked the president for monitoring the work , Pick up a note from the Cabildo.

The president added that this project joins other notable investments of the Cabildo de Tenerife to respond to serious problems that the industrial estate was experiencing.

“La Campana is the first industrial estate in the Canary Islands to have its own treatment plant to treat its wastewater thanks to the insular investment of 1.5 million euros that we have made during this term, which has provided a solution to a problem historic municipal district”, said Pedro Martín, who also highlighted the investment to improve rainwater collection and prevent water runoff from reaching the highway in the event of rain.

PLANNED WORKS

The island councilor Carmen Luz Baso explained that the execution of the works entails the hiring of a team of 20 people, who will be divided into two shifts so that the works can be kept active seven days a week.

He added that before starting the work, road signage, both horizontal and vertical, and signage have been reinforced, as well as manhole covers and manhole covers on the road, which were dangerous for vehicle traffic.

He also indicated that the list of planned works includes improvements to sanitation facilities, public lighting, telecommunications, low and medium voltage facilities, as well as asphalting and paving throughout the area.

The renovation of the water supply and fire fighting network is also contemplated, in which many points are in a deficient state, which causes continuous water leaks and a pressure reducing valve will be placed to avoid overpressure in some areas of the pipeline. .
