Everything ready for ‘Anto’ to attack the top of his first eight thousand in Nepal

Pako Crestas, one of Anto’s expedition companions, went down to the nearest town for a few days and was thus able to send the latest news from Manaslu: “We have no base camp coverage. A disaster. Neither wifi nor data, that’s why we are cut off, but everything is fine. Despite the bad weather at the beginning of the month, we have set up camps and everything is ready for the attack on the summit. Ponce and Anto have preferred to stay resting at base camp. We are all in good health and with enthusiasm and motivation ».

Through a voice message, Anto points out that “we have already installed Camp 1, in the last three days we made a new foray into the mountain, up to Camp 1, which we found full of snow; we were there for two nights and went up to the second field to set up the tent. Now we go down to regain strength and energy, which go a lot up there, to start the last attack on the summit in two days. The forecast is to spend one day in each field to finally install the third one and try to reach the top as we go ».
