In July 2021, work began on the reform of the Paseo Inciensal in Igueste de San Andrés. A work that consisted of the reform and stabilization of the entire area. At the beginning of this month of January, the road once again suffered landslides on one of its sides, reappearing the risk of the promenade collapsing, precisely what was intended to be avoided with the intervention carried out in 2021. Today, the Governing Board has planned to address the emergency contracting of the necessary works on the promenade, as well as the services of Optional Management and Health and Safety Coordination.

In the first work, 56,000 euros were invested and the wall that supports the promenade was repaired, which presented stability problems due to the existing erosion on the slope of the land on which it sits, which made it necessary to contain the slope of the land to secure the areas of the same, whose stability was compromised in several sections.

After the last rains, the same problem has arisen, this time in another section of the promenade, with the addition that landslides can end up affecting the houses that are also below the promenade.

The intervention at this point in Igueste de San Andrés was one of those selected to be executed through participatory budgets.

On January 3, the mayor of the PSOE, Florentino Guzmán, echoed this new destabilization of the promenade, noting that the residents had already warned the City Council that this could happen.
