Socio-sanitary training achieves 78% of labor insertions

The six Training Plans in Alternation with the Employment (PFAE) of the socio-sanitary branch that the Municipality of La Matanza de Acentejo developed between 2016 and 2022 have achieved that 78% of the participants have found employment in the sector. Getting 64 of the 84 participating students to enter the workforce in recent years is, in the opinion of the municipal government (PSOE), a clear «success story». An example of the path to follow to continue reducing the unemployment figures.

In the last seven years, 92% of the students of the six PFAE of La Matanza have completed their training and obtained their Professional Certificate, while 40% of this group have also continued their training by completing the FP Cycle of Average Degree of Auxiliary Nursing Care. «78% of the total is tworking in the socio-sanitary branch», celebrates the Government of Ignacio Rodríguez Jorge.

For several years, La Matanza has stood out as one of the municipalities with better management and greater use of Training Plans in Alternation with Employment, which are promoted jointly between the municipalities and the Canary Islands Employment Service (SCE). His commitment has focused on “training a total of 84 neighbors in care for dependent people in social institutions”, 92% of those who started.

For the Matanzas City Council, it is very significant that 92% began and finished the training process and “helps to contextualize another, if possible, more relevant, since 40% of these students have continued their training in FP, a percentage on the rise given that another dozen students They are currently undergoing such training.

«We always insist on the student-worker, beyond the immediate benefit of having training and paid work for a few months within the framework of the PFAE, on the need to take advantage of the inertia and continue training, highlighting the role of training as a social lift, “assessed the mayor. “Data like this congratulate us and encourage us to multiply efforts so that more residents can climb that first step towards higher and continuous training in La Matanza,” concludes Ignacio Rodríguez.
