Kings

The municipalities of the southern region are finalizing the preparations to receive Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar tomorrow with all the honors, celebrations that recover all the magic and brilliance after the years of pandemic.

The King and Queen will get up early in Arona to attend, at 12:00 noon, the reception offered by the Town Hall and the traditional offering to the Child Jesus in the church of San Antonio. The event most anticipated by the little ones, the parade, will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Avenida Suecia in Los Cristianos and will end in Plaza del Pescador, where the boys and girls will be able to deliver their letters to the magicians of the East.

In the neighboring municipality of Adeje, Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar will arrive, one more year, by helicopter to the municipal soccer field, where admission will be free until capacity is reached. There, the City Council has planned a reception act and, later, at 7:00 p.m., the parade will take place on Calle Grande, in which children’s characters from film and television will participate.

In Granadilla de Abona, the church of San Antonio de Padua will host, at 5:00 p.m., the offering to the Child Jesus. From that point the royal carriages will depart on a two-kilometre route through the main streets of the Villa. Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar will be surrounded by 150 children’s characters, the Disney train and the band of bugles and drums. There will be a silent section for minors with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and functional diversity. The mayor will deliver to his Majesties, in the Los Hinojeros pavilion, the magic keys that open the doors of all the houses.

The parade in San Miguel de Abona will leave at 6:00 p.m. from the Plaza de la Iglesia, in the urban area, after the offering of the Kings to the Child Jesus in the main parish of San Miguel Arcángel. The tour of the delegation will end at the Óscar González municipal sports center and the magic and fun will be provided by acrobats, children’s characters, led extras, the Beank ballet, the illusion train and a parade with music from the film Coco. At the end of the parade, the mayor will deliver the magic key to the Kings of the East, once they have collected the letters from all the boys and girls.

Visit to the cores

Guía de Isora has planned that the royal entourage visit each of the 17 nuclei of the municipality, starting from Vera de Erques, at 11:00 a.m., and visiting Tejina de Isora, Acojeja, El Pozo, El Jaral, Guía (helmet), Chirche , Aripe, Chiguergue, Chío, Cueva del Polvo, Varadero, Alcalá, Fonsalía, Playa San Juan, Aguadulce and Piedra Hincada. The Three Wise Men will arrive at the town of Guía de Isora at 6:00 p.m. to participate in the procession.

In Santiago del Teide, from 4:00 p.m., Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar will begin to visit the towns in the upper part and the middle ground such as Arguayo, Tamamimo and the urban area. Two hours later, the parade will begin in Playa de La Arena, which will pass through Puerto de Santiago and end in the Plaza Buganvilla de Los Gigantes. Like many municipalities in the South, the royal entourage will be accompanied by floats and characters from the Disney factory. The City Council will also set up a noise-free zone for people with ASD in one of the sections of the route.

At 6:00 p.m. the parade will start in Villa de Arico, from El Calvario street to Benítez de Lugo street. Together with the Kings, cartoon characters will parade, among bubbles and confetti, enlivened by different groups and bands. The end of the party will be a great chocolate party for all attendees.

Fasnia will also celebrate Three Kings Eve with a procession that will start at La Sombrera, at 4:00 p.m., to continue through Sabina Alta, La Zarza, Cruz del Roque, Las Eras, Los Roques, Lomo la Tose and end at the municipal helmet. Starting at 7:00 p.m., the musical show Frozen will begin in the Plaza de La Constitución.
