The Minister of Employment, Socioeconomic Development and Foreign Action, Carmen Luz Baso, today visited the two craft fairs opened by the Council of Tenerife in Santa Cruz and La Laguna to boost sales in the sector taking advantage of the Christmas holidays.

As Carmen Luz Baso explained, there are a total of 68 craft stalls that will remain open to the public from today until midnight on Thursday, January 5, among which a significant female presence stands out, representing more than 70%. of the professionals.

Traditional pottery, jewelry, dolls, weaving, printing and engraving, paper and cardboard, candles, inlaid, soap, leather goods, clothing, cutlery, macramé, fretwork, leather shoemaking and making traditional costumes are some of the more than 20 trades that are represented at the two fairs.

The Plaza del Príncipe de Santa Cruz hosts the 25th edition of the Three Kings Crafts Fair, while the Christmas Crafts Market celebrates its 14th edition in the Adelantado square.

The hours of the two fairs, which will remain open until the night of January 5, will be from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., with a small interval of one hour, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., in which the stalls will remain closed. In addition, the night before the Three Kings, the hours will be extended until midnight.

In both cases, professionals with a craftsman license participate who have been selected according to the criteria established in the call launched by the Cabildo last August, with which priority is given to craftsmen who have registered as self-employed, have their own brand or have a website, among other requirements.
