Titsa and Metrotenerife, transport companies of the Cabildo, adapt their schedules on New Year’s Eve and New Year. The urban and interurban buses and Line 1 of the tram will run during the night of the party, with free tickets from 00:00 hours, and on January 1 as a festive day.
The insular Mobility Councilor and president of both companies, Enrique Arriaga, points out that “on New Year’s Eve there are a large number of trips with celebrations until the wee hours of the morning; For this reason, buses and trams, as a public service, will not stop circulating and will have very competitive frequencies that invite you to leave the car at home and move safely.
Titsa will normally carry out the night services of its urban and interurban lines during New Year’s Eve. Thus, 014, 015, 050, 101, 104, 352, 353, 363, 390, 420, 467, 473, 711, 971, 972 and 974 will maintain the usual business day hours. The 014 will have departures from the capital at 00:10, 1:30, 3:00 and 5:10, while in the opposite direction they will be at 23:30, 00:50, 02:20 and 3:45. Line 711, between Santa Cruz and Costa Adeje, will depart at 10:30 p.m., 11:45 p.m., 12:15 a.m., 2:30 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. Back to the capital, at 10:00 p.m., 11:05 p.m., 12:20 a.m., 2:00 a.m., 3:00 a.m., 3:55 a.m. and 5:30 a.m.
The 104, which connects the Santa Cruz Interchange with Puerto de la Cruz, will have exits heading north at 10:55 p.m., 12:00 a.m., 1:00 a.m. (from La Laguna), 2:25 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. From the Port, the times will be at 00:00, 1:20, 2:25, 4:40 and 5:25 hours.
The 974, which joins the Interchange with Taco, Saint Mary of the Sea, anaza and return to the Interchange, it will carry out its usual night route with departures at 22:20, 22:50, 00:00, 1:40, 3:00 and 4:25.
The 971, between the Intercambiador and Ofra, through La Salud, will have five departures: 00:00, 1:00, 3:00, 4:00 and 5:00. The return, at 00:30, 1:30, 3:30, 4:30 and 5:25. Route 972, Intercambiador-La Salud by Cuesta Piedra, will have two departures, at 11:05 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. and, in the opposite direction, at 11:30 p.m. and 2:15 a.m.
The Aeroexpress 20 will make trips from the capital’s Interchange at 10:40 p.m., 11:10 p.m., 11:40 p.m. and 12:15 a.m. To go to the South airport, users have line 711.
Trams every 10 minutes
The Line 1 trams will provide service all night on New Year’s Eve, every 10 minutes until 10:00 p.m., 15 until 3:00 a.m. and 20 the rest of the night. Line 2 will end its service at 00:00.
Starting at 11:00 p.m., Theater Guimerá will be the final stop on Line 1 in Santa Cruz, so the Fundación and Intercambiador are out of service. The reason is the acts foreseen in Spain Square and church of the Conception.
At 9:30 a.m. on January 1, the section between Teatro Guimerá and Intercambiador will be back in service. As of 6:00 a.m., the frequencies for holidays will begin on both lines, so the network will provide service between 12, 15 and 30 minutes.
