SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Dec. 27 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The General Directorate of Security and Emergencies of the Government of the Canary Islands, based on the weather forecast and in application of the emergency plan of the autonomous community, has deactivated the rain alert on the islands of the western province.
However, the alert for moderately strong easterly and southeasterly winds generalized on the coast, midlands and summits remains in force, with average speeds of between 30 and 60 km/h or higher at the summits, with probable very strong gusts, higher than 70 km/h and 90 km/h.
In a timely manner, they specify from the Government, hurricane gusts (greater than 120 km/h) due to accelerations to
leeward.
The most intense gusts of wind will affect the northern and western slopes of the islands and La Graciosa.
