SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Dec. 23 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Governing Council of the Cabildo de Tenerife has approved the 100% discount from January 1 for the monthly transport passes, which include the resident pass, the youth pass, the senior monthly pass and the monthly pass for people with disabilities .
In addition, the continuation of the 50% reduction in charge of the Island Corporation is also approved for those tickets that do not benefit from the new gratuity, which are the five-trip voucher and the Cabildo vouchers for retirees, large families and individuals with disabilities.
The First Vice President and Island Councilor for Mobility, Enrique Arriaga, recalled that as of January 1, anyone who has any of the free titles will automatically access the promotion when renewing their voucher, while those who have not previously had These titles will also be able to access, although they must pay the costs of issuing the personalized card, which are 5 euros, since the current holders paid them at the time.
In addition, Arriaga stressed that subsidized users must make a minimum of 15 trips to maintain their free status, since it is after this number that they begin to be considered frequent travelers, and at the end of each month it will be verified that this requirement has been met. If this is the case, when the subscription is due to be renewed, the 100% bonus will be applied again.
On the other hand, regarding the tickets that until now had a 50% bonus and that will not be eligible for free, such as the five-trip bonus and the Cabildo bonuses for retirees, large families and people with disabilities , the insular Government approved in its council that it will assume the cost of continuing with the price reduction indefinitely.
Enrique Arriaga explained that after the transitory period that has taken place since September 1, the 50% reduction in charge of the Cabildo in the price of these titles will be permanent, as well as it will be for those subscriptions that, being able to take advantage of the free, do not meet the necessary requirements.
In this way, if the number of validations stipulated with the resident pass, the youth pass, the senior monthly pass or the monthly pass for people with disabilities is not reached, when renewing it, the reduced price must be paid, which ranges between 15 or 19 euros according to the title, and not its previous prices that ranged from 30 to 38 euros.
Thus, the price of the Cabildo’s social bonds will continue to be 12 euros for retirees and people with disabilities, and 15 euros for large families. While the five-trip voucher will retain its price of 2.5 euros. In the case of monthly passes that do not qualify for free due to not meeting the minimum number of trips, the youth, senior and disabled pass will cost 15 euros, and the resident pass will cost 19 euros .
The insular director of Mobility, José Alberto León, assured that the Cabildo is working to take measures to guarantee a quality service despite the increase in users, and stressed that one of the actions that are being carried out are advertising campaigns to disseminate the requirements and conditions of free admission among citizens, and thus avoid confusion once it is launched.
In addition, León pointed out that new users can now start processing their registered transport titles through the website www.tenmas.essince they are not received immediately, but remember that to be eligible for the gratuity you must pick it up after January 1.
Currently, when it is received at the branch, you must pay the five euros for issuance plus the cost of the voucher itself, which ranges between 15 and 19 euros. However, as of January the price of the voucher will be reduced to zero, so only the five euros of issue must be paid at the time of collection.
To carry out this procedure, a photograph of the user will be necessary, as well as one of their identity document on both sides. Once requested, it will be received within approximately ten days
