SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Dec. 22 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Cabildo de Tenerife, through the Education area, provides à la carte training for groups and collectives that travel to any point on the Island. This is an initiative that forms part of the Closing the Digital Gap project and that aims to provide citizens of technological knowledge to facilitate their adaptation to the digital environment.

The Island Councilor for Education, Concepción Rivero, explained that “this project boosts the capacities of people of all ages” and stressed that “even young people, who have a greater mastery of technology, can increase their knowledge.” In this sense, she pointed out that “there are three training levels: basic, medium and advanced, in order to respond to the needs of all groups and collectives.”

The insular director of Education, Isabel Bello, commented that “the only requirement to request these training pills is to have a group of between 5 and 15 people” and recalls that “it is not necessary to be legally constituted as an association or club, but rather just want to learn.”

The à la carte training can be given both in the afternoon and in the morning and only requires a space with an internet connection and the devices with which you will work, such as computers, tablets or mobile phones.

The lower level educational actions deal with the use of the telephone and the possible risks associated with the Internet. In addition, introductory classes are held on Internet browsing, email, or even the use of highly demanded applications, such as WhatsApp.

On the other hand, there are more advanced courses that delve into some topics such as security. Among the higher-level training courses, those that teach how to share files, edit videos or search for job offers stand out, as well as those that teach about Excel programs, Google Calendar or social networks.

Those people who wish to access these training courses and do not have a group may join the groups that have places available, the list of which is on the Education area website: https://tenerifejovenyeduca.com/proyecto-brecha-digital-form…. In addition, both on this page, and on the contact telephone number, 675839507, you can request more information and sign up for the project.
