A volcanic eruption occurred this Sunday in the municipality of El Paso, on La Palma, just when seismic activity on the island had reached its maximum since the start of the swarm a week ago.
The images captured by scientists from the Canary Islands Volcanological Institute (Involcan) who are on the island of La Palma to follow the eruption that took place this afternoon in El Paso allow us to intuit up to seven eruptive mouths.
The eruption has left some historical images in which large columns of smoke and ash and even lava flows can be seen advancing through the island.
