SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Dec. 20 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Board of Directors of Aena has decided to extend the incentive for airlines that operate at La Palma Airport for the whole of 2023 in order to promote air traffic and promote the programming of routes and operations by airlines that are already has applied throughout 2022.
Aena thus contributes to the recovery of activity on the island, which was strongly affected by the eruption of the volcano in the Cumbre Vieja natural park.
The incentive involves eliminating the fee for the use of infrastructures or passenger fees on departure flights that take place between January 1, 2023 and December 31, 2023, originating at La Palma airport and destination to the Peninsula , Balearic Islands or to an international destination, pick up a note from the airport manager.
The incentive, which consists in companies receiving 100% reimbursement of the passenger fee on outbound flights, acts on the fee that the airlines transfer to passengers for the use of the infrastructure, which may contribute to promoting activity at La Palma Airport
