Two million euros for the improvement of homes in Añaza and El Cardonal

The Council of Tenerife has ordered the payment of two million euros to be shared between the municipalities of Santa Cruz and La Laguna for the execution of projects to improve housing and the urban environment in the neighborhoods of anaza and El Cardonal.

The Minister of Municipal Cooperation and Housing of the Council of TenerifeZebenzuí Chinea, explains in a statement that these actions will be financed between various public administrations and the people who own the properties.

In the case of the Añaza neighborhood, a total of 381 homes will be intervenedas well as in its urban environment.

For the development of the works the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda will contribute 10,287,162 euros; the City Council of Santa Cruz the amount of 1,408,301 euros; the Cabildo 1,000,000 euros, and the people who own the houses 523,875 euros.

In La Laguna, the participation of the Cabildo will be aimed at rehabilitating 438 homes in El Cardonal, as well as the infrastructures for public use in the area.

Said project has been budgeted at 21,179,440 euros, of which 10,973,299 euros correspond to the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda and Government of the Canary Islands; 1,000,000 euros to the Cabildo de Tenerife; 9,032,508 euros to the City Council of La Laguna; and 173,632 euros to the neighborhood contribution.

Both actions are part of the programs for the improvement of the Programmed Rehabilitation Residential Environment (ERRP).
