SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Dec. 14 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Ministry of Economy, Knowledge and Employment of the Government of the Canary Islands, through the Canary Islands Employment Service (SCE), resolved this week the granting of subsidies worth 44,993,915.40 euros to local corporations and non-profit entities of seven islands to hire 2,800 unemployed people through the development of 140 projects with training plans.

Signed by the counselor Elena Máñez in her capacity as president of the SCE, the new call for training projects in alternation with employment (PFAE) was processed under a regime of competitive competition between councils, town halls, associations or foundations for the start of eligible actions Before the end of the year.

Specifically, the regional resolution granted 35,673,747.21 to town halls, 4,820,776.65 euros to foundations, 2,892,465.99 euros to councils and 1,285,540 euros to associations.

In addition, the new PFAE distributed the available budget of almost 45 million between administrations and entities on seven islands: 19,283,106.60 euros for 60 projects with 1,200 contracts in Gran Canaria, 14,140,944.84 euros for 44 projects 880 contracts in Tenerife , 4,820,776.65 euros for 15 projects with 300 contracts in Fuerteventura, 3,213,851.10 euros for 10 projects with 200 contracts in Lanzarote, 2,892,465.99 euros for 9 projects with 180 contracts in La Palma, 321,385.11 euros for a project with 20 contracts in La Gomera and also 321,385.11 for a project with another 20 in El Hierro.

Configured as an active policy of the SCE, the PFAE consist of a set of mixed training and recruitment actions for professional qualification in the workplace with the aim of facilitating the labor insertion of unemployed people by improving their employability.
