The dense fog that covers a good part of the northern part of the island of Tenerife is hindering operations at the Tenerife Norte-Ciudad de La Laguna airport. At the moment, according to AENA sources, there have been eight flights diverted to the Tenerife Sur airport for security reasons. In the early hours of this Saturday, five flights were diverted. Shortly after, the situation at the Tenerife aerodrome returned to normal and operations continued as normal until again the fog caused the diversion of three aircraft to Tenerife South.
