SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Dec. 6 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The CC-PNC group of the Cabildo de Tenerife has denounced the “lack of management” of the PSOE, which has caused “more than 218 million euros in unexecuted investments”, which means that “of every four euros that there were for investments, they have only used one”.
The nationalist spokesman, Carlos Alonso, pointed out that the Treasury report with the level of execution until October 31 “is alarming and shows the inability of the PSOE to carry out the projects that Tenerife needs.”
Carlos Alonso explained that of the 290 million euros in investments that he had planned for 2022, “only 72 had been executed with two months to go before the end of the year.” “The level of investment execution is still lower than last year, which explains the paralysis suffered by Tenerife in many sectors,” he added.
Alonso pointed out that the Cabildo “has been one of the economic engines and generator of employment on the Island, but in the last three years we have seen how Tenerife has been left behind because of the PSOE. We urgently need change and for the Cabildo to return to recover its leading role, promoting island projects and meeting the demands of society”.
The CC-PNC spokesperson criticized the fact that in the area of Social Action “there are almost 17 million euros unexecuted when there are more than 7,000 people requesting a socio-sanitary position” and criticized “the total paralysis” in terms of Sustainable Development and the Fight against Climate Change, because “of the 17.9 million euros they had to invest, they have only spent 267,000 euros; it does not even reach 1.5%. It is unfortunate.”
According to Alonso, in Municipal Cooperation and Housing “only 3.8 million euros of the 28.5 that had been planned have been executed.” “It’s a very low performance for such an important area,” he said. “In the Presidency, Finance and Modernization, the figure is also very poor: of 15.5 million euros, only 1.1 (7.53%) have been invested in ten months,” he added.
