SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Dec. 6 (EUROPA PRESS) –
A 69-year-old man has been seriously injured in a traffic accident that occurred yesterday Monday on Candelaria Monte street, in the municipality of Tacoronte, in Tenerife, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (Cecoes) 1-1-2 .
The event occurred around 10:00 p.m., when the 1-1-2 Canarias operating room received an alert stating that a vehicle had collided with a parked vehicle and later with a wall in the area mentioned above.
The Cecoes immediately activated the necessary emergency resources and troops from the Tenerife Fire Consortium, a basic life support ambulance and another medicalized one from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), Local Police and Civil Guard traveled to the scene.
The firefighters secured the damaged vehicle, freed its occupant from inside the passenger compartment and carried out cleaning work on the road. The SUC staff assessed and assisted the affected person who, after being stabilized, was transferred by medicalized ambulance to the University Hospital of the Canary Islands as he presented various serious injuries. The Civil Guard made the corresponding report.
