The Cabildo de Tenerife has finished rehabilitating some sections of the Los Nateros-La Vica-Los Nateros trail, in the municipality of La Matanza de Acentejo, in a work in which some 50,000 euros have been invested.
This path, which could be called peri-urban, connects the protected landscape of Las Lagunetas with a path in rural and interface areas, pointed out the Minister for Natural Environment and Security Management, Isabel García, who has visited the area with the Councilor for works of La Matanza, Miguel Ángel Pío.
The counselor pointed out during the visit that the intervention of the crew has consisted of “adapting areas that had been occupied by vegetation, making steps and rehabilitating the path box, and placing approved signage along the way.”
“With these works we help the municipalities to offer a safer and more desirable forest and rural environment for the enjoyment of citizens, and that transit through these roads complies with adequate security,” said the counselor, who added that she has It was during this mandate, for the first time, that this service was launched outside the Anaga and Teno Rural Parks and Teide itself.
For his part, the councilman thanked the Cabildo for its involvement in this project to rehabilitate municipal trails “because thanks to these works, roads are improved that for many reasons are in poor condition in our mountains and its surroundings.”
