SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 25 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Auditorio de Tenerife, a space that depends on the Culture Department of the Cabildo directed by the councilor Enrique Arriaga, has launched a new program of guided tours for educational centers for the current school year. It is a didactic and transversal activity that consists of carrying out a training and information process for the public during school hours, free of charge and for all levels.

In response to the needs and characteristics of each cycle, the Educational and Social Area of the Auditorium has designed this proposal in which two lines will be addressed, showing the Auditorium as a center of cultural activity and as an architectural space, one of the purposes being to achieve autonomous students and critical.

In addition, one of the spaces in the Auditorium has been adapted as an educational classroom, where schoolchildren will be able to enjoy specialized workshops with didactic activities. The dossier of this new program can be consulted in the Educational and Social section of the website www.auditoriodetenerife.com.

All these characteristics make this initiative a pioneer due to visits to the building adapted to each educational cycle and in small groups, monitored activities and with didactic material and resources prepared according to the level and an educational classroom equipped for students.

For Early Childhood Education, a playful and participative visit is offered, in which an artistic perspective of the cultural institution will be discovered first-hand. Through the different activities, the three areas of this level will be worked on: autonomy, knowledge of the environment and communication and representation. In this way, their autonomy is fostered with individual visit tickets to be stamped, the building and its surroundings are known with puzzles and coloring sheets, and the musical language is deepened through audiovisuals projected in the educational classroom.

The Primary Education visit will be focused on showing architectural aspects of the Auditorio de Tenerife. Students will also get to know the different performing arts professions necessary to carry out an artistic show, as well as, through videos, get closer to the cultural offer of programming suitable for their age that they can enjoy in the auditorium and its singular corners. They will also carry out manual activities.

In Secondary Education and Bachelor, it is intended that students start as a critical spectator. The information will be provided to accompany him to develop sufficient critical autonomy to choose those cultural offers that are of interest to him, as well as to know the various channels to access it. After a guided access to the information on the web and social networks, online activities will be carried out through games with Kahoot and advanced crafts such as building origami. Finally, they will watch videos about the Secondary school program and unique corners of the Auditorium.

Educational centers interested in requesting a guided tour can send an email to [email protected] with the following information: name of the center, municipality, person and contact telephone number, course, number of students and accompanying persons, and dates or time period of preference. In addition, they can also contact the Educational and Social Area of the Tenerife Auditorium by calling 922 568 600 ext. 167.
