The National Police have arrested two 25-year-olds, both without police recordsas alleged perpetrators of a crime against public health committed in La Laguna when they were caught walking down the street in possession of a kilogram of hashish.
The events occurred when the National Police officers were patrolling through the El Rocío neighborhood and observed two young men who, upon noticing the police presence, turned around trying to avoid them.
The surprise of the national police officers came when, upon calling them, they tried to get rid of several packages they were carrying, throwing them under the vehicles parked on La Rivera street.
The agents, once they reached them, proceeded to identify them while a search was carried out under the cars to locate the packages. They were eventually recovered and upon inspection were found to contain 20 hashish tablets with a total weight of one kilogram.
Given the evidence, the agents seized the drug and arrested the twenty-somethings.
