SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Nov. 15 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The spokesman for the Popular Parliamentary Group and president of the PP of the Canary Islands, Manuel Domínguez, affirmed this Tuesday that the 21 amendments that the Canary Islands Coalition has agreed with the Government of Pedro Sánchez, including free buses and the tram, They are one more “step” towards a possible pact with the Socialist Party after the elections on May 28.

At a press conference, Manuel Domínguez stressed that he has been saying for a long time that the pact between the PSOE and CC “is not a surprise”, much less when he has heard Fernando Clavijo affirm that “he did not care if he agreed with Manuel Domínguez or with Ángel Victor Torres. “With which, I believe that this is one more step towards that rapprochement and that it would not surprise me,” added the popular leader.

Domínguez admitted that it seems “very good” to him that the CC amendments have been accepted because they are “exactly the same” that the PP has raised and that are registered in the Congress of Deputies, including the 100% bonus of the the buses and the tram during the year 2023. “In other words, the Canary Islands Coalition and the Popular Party have agreed on the presentation of proposals for the benefit of the Canaries because they are literally the same,” said Domínguez.

Likewise, he pointed out that the agreement reached by the Canary Islands Coalition with the Government of Sánchez reflects the “ridiculous” that the president of the Canary Islands, Ángel Víctor Torres, “constantly” makes, who “just a few months ago came out to say that it was not free buses were necessary because in the Canary Islands we were well subsidized, even making use of numbers that not even he understood to justify the position of its president at the national level”.

“Today, what are you going to say? Like a good actor, I know that you are going to come out smiling and sticking out your chest, but behind the scenes you have to be pulling your hair out because once again they ignore you, once again you find out about things through the media of communication and once again shows that he does not paint anything before Pedro Sánchez, who has not even received him officially in La Moncloa”, affirmed Domínguez.
