The initiative promotes €220,000 of income for royal establishments, of which the City Council contributes €110,000
From the website www.bonoconocorazon.com, enabled by the Los Realejos City Council and the Federation of Urban Areas of the Canary Islands (FAUCA) you can purchase from 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 15, the consumer vouchers for ‘Shops with a Heart’ of Los Realejos. Each ‘Bonus with a heart’ will have a unique value of 20 euros, of which each consumer pays 10 euros, being able to purchase up to 10 vouchers per person.
Los Realejos City Council allocates 110,000 euros to this initiative, which guarantees 220,000 euros in income from local businesses. Through the pre-sale of consumer vouchers, the establishment ends up earning the same for the sale of its products and services, but the consumer will have paid half for them.
The mayor of Los Realejos, Adolfo González, was accompanied at the presentation press conference by the Councilor for Commerce and Local Development, Natalia Díaz, as well as the president of FAUCA, Abbas Moujir, and the adviser and collaborator of the commercial federation Carlos Sabina, recently presented the initiative that has more than fifty affiliated businesses.
Adolfo González highlighted that “Los Realejos is the first municipality on the island outside the metropolitan area that promotes its own consumer bonds in this way, the only town in the North of Tenerife with its own initiative in which you buy twice as much by paying half, a measure of support and incentive to local commercial consumption and the promotion of economic activity at the local level”.
“The operation of this initiative is very simple, the sale of each ‘Bonus with a heart’ for a value of 20 euros will be made available (with a maximum of 10 vouchers per client of legal age identified with DNI at the time of acquisition via digital on the web www.bonoconcorazon.com), but the consumer buys it for 10 euros, with this voucher that is generated in digital format, he goes to any of the businesses adhering to the campaign and has double that value of his money to buy, since the City Council is in charge of contributing the other half of the amount”, explained Natalia Díaz.
For the mayor, “the largest and most effective promotional campaign for small and medium-sized real estate businesses is for their City Council to put money directly into the establishments themselves and for the consumer or potential client to have a wide range of products and services that they can purchase at 50 % of its sale price.
“Having FAUCA to carry out this initiative is a guarantee of success, since the experience that they have developed in two editions in the cities of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and San Cristóbal de La Laguna attests to this, for which we consider ourselves to be in good hands and we predict that this pilot action in Los Realejos will surely have a great acceptance and that it can be repeated over time in different commercial campaigns throughout the next year”, valued the Councilor for Commerce.
Natalia Díaz added that “not only the establishments in the five commercial areas of Los Realejos that meet the requirements will be able to access this initiative, but also those that are located in other parts of the town outside of them.”
“To bring this information closer, FAUCA will make available to commercial advisors who will make door-to-door visits starting this Wednesday, November 2, to more than half a thousand establishments in the town likely to adhere to ‘Bono con corazón’, in addition to organizing together with the area of Commerce and Local Development of Los Realejos, a meeting with the commercial fabric of the municipality for next Monday, November 7 in order to directly explain this commercial promotion project and resolve common doubts”, advanced Adolfo González.

Abbas Moujir explained that “from November 1 to 15 the registration period for the ‘Bonus with heart’ remains open for all those commercial retail establishments and aesthetic services in the municipality, with some exceptions that have been included in the bases such as the sector of the restoration, that does not go in in this campaign”.
“The www.bonoconcorazon.com web platform itself is the registration channel for businesses, which can also ask questions about this project by emailing [email protected] or by calling 675.633.988 during business hours from Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.,” explained the president of FAUCA.
The business registration form only asks for contact information, name of the establishment, address and photograph for promotional purposes, and a copy of the identification document of the commercial activity in which the business is registered to check if it meets the requirements of the bell.
The bank account number associated with the establishment is also requested for the subsequent payment of 50% of the amount of sales linked to the ‘Bonus with a heart’, which FAUCA guarantees will not take more than 15 days after the sale operation and the increase to the corresponding ticket platform.
Purchase of bonds by consumers
It will be from 08:00 in the morning of this Tuesday, November 15, when the sale of bonds will be available for consumers, who will already know the list of businesses adhering to the initiative.
Carlos Sabina indicated that “the exchange of the vouchers in the stores of this campaign may be made between the same Tuesday, November 15 and December 30, 2022 or until the end of stock, even allowing, given the purchase limit of 10 vouchers per consumer, combine the vouchers with those of another person to make a larger purchase”.
He also pointed out that “the voucher can be used until the balance is exhausted in those establishments registered in the campaign, but in no case will its value be returned in cash, neither in the purchase nor in the possible subsequent return of the product, nor as a refund of any type if it has not been exhausted before the expiration of the period of validity of the same set on December 30.
