La Orotava calls for ten new Local Police positions and announces another seven for 2023

The Municipality of La Orotava announces the call for 10 new vacancies Local police, the largest offer of this type of jobs in the municipality in recent decades. The commitment of the municipal government (CC) is to launch a new call next year 2023 with 7 more places“so that in a short space of time we can have a staff according to the characteristics and needs of our municipality”, says the mayor, Francisco Linares (CC). The planned incorporation of 17 new agents will allow almost half of the available staff to have been renewed since 2020. The announcement and the bases have already been published in the Official Bulletin of the Province (BOP) last Friday, November 11.

The goal of town council, raised before the early retirement processes began, “which have weighed down all municipalities due to the impossibility of replacing the vacancies lost in the same period of time, is to provide the municipality with a staff made up of 60 agents”. To deal with all the retirements that have occurred in the workforce, the Councilor for Security, Narciso Perez (CC)recognizes that “the involvement of the members of the current staff has been fundamental, who have had to do reinforcement shifts to guarantee the provision of all services”.

Pérez recalled that “despite all the delays suffered in these procedures by the covid pandemic in these last two years, La Orotava It has already incorporated five new agents and three more through a transfer contest”.

This call is the provision in property, by the free opposition procedure, of ten local police positions belonging to the special administration scale, special services subscale, local police class, basic scale, group C and subgroup C1. These places are included in the Public Employment Offer for the year 2022approved by decrees of the delegated council dated August 3 and 17, 2022, published in the Official Gazette of the Province 101, of August 22, 2022.

They may also be submitted by electronic means through the electronic headquarters of the corporate website. The form must be presented in duplicate so that the interested party keeps a sealed copy of the petition presented. The deadline for submitting applications is twenty business days from the publication in the Official State Gazette, in the Official Gazette of the Province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and on the Town Hall Notice Board.
