The Local Government Board of the City Council of El Rosario has approved the contract specifications called Supply and installation of children’s games and other elements for various playgrounds and leisure areas in the municipality of El Rosario, with which the public endowments located on Gravina Street and in Paraíso Park, on Cortés Street, both in Radazul, and in Humboldt Square, in Tabaiba Baja, will be renewed. In addition, the park in Plaza de La Constitución, also in Tabaiba Baja, will be provided with shade. The total bidding budget amounts to 113,048 euros.
The mayor of El Rosario, Escolástico Gil, maintains that with this contract, which will be awarded in batches, “we meet the need to gradually improve those playgrounds in the municipality that are in a poorer state of conservation.” In this sense, the mayor details that “Currently the spaces proposed for renovation are being underused due to the deterioration of their elements due to the passage of time and the age of many of the games installed.”
Due to this, the City Council of El Rosario will contract the supply and installation of new equipment, both for children and for calisthenics, including the corresponding safety pavement, with the purpose of renovating and rearranging the currently existing areas. “This will comply with the highest levels of safety, under the applicable regulations, and the recreational value of existing facilities will be increased, achieving a greater aesthetic value of the environment,” they indicate from the Rosariero Consistory.
The games and all the elements that make up the new playgrounds will be resistant to the action of meteorological effects and marine corrosion. These are fixed equipment, both for games and for physical training, installed outdoors.
The renovation of the Paraíso park, located on Calle Cortés, will have two different spaces. The area of the park that faces Balboa Street will be converted into an appropriate space for physical exercise with different gym equipment and a calisthenics set, with a sail that will provide shade for the complex, while in the lower area of the park will redesign the children’s area with new game modules such as a slide, a nest swing and seesaws.
As for the small playground on Gravina Street, the existing rubber flooring will be renewed and a swing with three seats, one of them for safety, a slide and a double seesaw will be installed. In addition, the adjoining court will be renovated with the execution of a new multi-layer colored sports pavement.
Finally, in Tabaiba Baja, a sail will be installed to provide shade for the children’s playground in Plaza de La Constitución and a calisthenics area and gymnastic equipment will be set up in Plaza Humboldt. In all the planned actions, the surfaces will be refurbished with new paving and informative posters will be installed with the recommendations for the use of the modules, emergency telephone numbers and regulations for use in each case.
