A Maritime Rescue vessel and the GES helicopter have recovered the deceased body of an 80-year-old man floating in the sea, which was located by a private vessel on the coast of Las Galletas, as reported by the Emergency Coordination Center and Security (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The event occurred shortly after 10:00 a.m., when the 1-1-2 operating room received an alert from a private vessel reporting the sighting of a body floating in the sea about 200 meters from the Las Galletas coast. , in the municipality of Arona.
Maritime Rescue personnel traveled to the area and stood next to the body located until the arrival of the GES helicopter that recovered it and carried it to land, where the SUC confirmed that it was a deceased person and, then, the Civil Guard took charge of it until the arrival of the judicial authority.
