Víctor Bravo, enemy with a past in the ‘Uni’ and Tenerife

Víctor Bravo (Zaragoza, 39 years old) announces rotations for the duel of the Sunday against UD. The CD Teruel strategist prioritizes stretching the leadership in Group III of the Second RFEF than sealing a cup feat. «We will make modifications; Those players who have not been able to participate during the championship will have minutes. It is the fairest thing, ”said yesterday a technician with a past at the extinct Universidad CF in 2ª B (2007-08) and who left Tenerife due to a row with Cervera.

Víctor Daniel Bravo de Soto Vergara is the coach with the most appearances in the national category at the modest CD Teruel. He has posted 41 games with 18 wins in his third straight season. He conquered the promotion to Second RFEF and in the last one he was close to kissing the second jump of category. Last Sunday, against RCD Espanyol B at the Ciudad Deportiva Dani Jarque, they conceded the first setback of the season (1-0). The rest of the pulses: six wins and three draws. At the head of the table, he is one point ahead of the subsidiary parakeet. Going up is his obsession.

Víctor Bravo spent most of his career as a soccer player, inside, winger and left-handed midfielder, in the bronze category. Youth squad of Atlético de Madrid, his greatest milestone was playing two games with the first mattress team (2006), under the command of Mexican Javier Aguirre –now he manages Mallorca–. The rojiblanco team included Leo Franco, Fernando Torres, Luccin, Maniche, Jurado, Kun Agüero and Zé Castro. At only 24 years old, after passing through Calahorra, Huesca, Burgos and Atlético, his flight arrived at Tino Luis’s ‘Uni’.

Friendship with Adrian Pollo

His close friendship with the southern midfielder Adrián José Hernández ‘Pollo’, with whom he coincided in the Atlético de Madrid subsidiary, paved the way for Víctor Bravo to step up to the collegiate eleven. He completed 24 games in the azulina formation, which finished in sixth place in 2007-08 (one point from the playoff zone).

Tino Luis Cabrera was fired on matchday 33 and then Castellano arrived at the close of the competition (last five games). There were faces of rank and hierarchy such as José Ojeda, Santi Lampón, Sergio Hernández, Molina, Álex Santana, Ángel Luis Camacho, Alberto Hernández or an exotic signing such as Cacá, a former Las Palmas and Salamanca player and a close friend of Ronaldo.

After passing through Mérida, Pontevedra and Melilla, he joined Tenerife. He was two seasons (a total of 39 duels).

With Calderón and Quique Medina he was important in 11-12 and scored in the playoff for Second Division. He caressed the ascent. Then Cervera arrived and played two games. He had a confrontation with the now coach of Oviedo and terminated in December 2012. “I had confidence in him, but the team is made for other players,” the coach valued.

He was seriously injured in Teruel and jumped to the bench. He applauds Pimienta’s philosophy and strips Teruel of him. “We will try to live up to it and we must handle all styles.” Party in Pinilla. Bravo against UD.
