SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Nov. 8 (EUROPE PRESS) –

Tenerife Bridal Destination begins this week in Puerto de la Cruz as part of the renewed commitment that the Cabildo de Tenerife, in collaboration with the tourist municipality, has made to give a boost to the promotion of this fashion sector and to all companies directly or indirectly related to the celebration of events and ceremonies.

At the presentation ceremony, the island’s Minister of Employment, Socioeconomic Development and Foreign Action, Carmen Luz Baso, explained that the objective of this fair, which will take to the streets for the first time, is to “expand the business opportunities offered by fashion wedding in Tenerife, combining the creativity of the designers and the good work of the companies linked to the sector, with the unique settings offered by the island and in particular Puerto de la Cruz, to become a benchmark destination in the national sphere of events and ceremonies.

“We want to take advantage of the reactivation of the bridal business that has taken place after the stoppage forced by the pandemic to improve the island’s position in the bridal sector, with a special event that includes coverage by specialized national fashion and style media and which will show the latest developments in a sector that we know is constantly changing”, he added.

For his part, the mayor of Puerto de la Cruz, Marco González, wanted to thank the Cabildo for setting its sights on the tourist city for the launch of Tenerife Wedding Destination, “a city that is very clear about the high added value in wealth and employment that this sector provides to the citizens of the north of the island”.

“It is therefore a strategic sector in which this City Council participates hand in hand with companies and professionals who have been improving day by day for years to offer the best of themselves in a world that does not stop renewing and reinventing itself,” González stressed. .

The presentation of the program for this event, which will be held on November 9 and 10 at the castle of San Felipe, also included the Councilor for Commerce, Roberto Medina, and the Island Director of Socioeconomic Development of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Ermitas Moreiras, who The planned events were broken down, in which professionals and companies related to the sector will participate, from designers, brands and firms of the Tenerife Moda collective, to companies in the service sector (consultancies, hairdressers, florists, etc.) and commercial brands.

Parades, exhibitions and workshops will be the central axis of this project that will start tomorrow, Wednesday, at 4:00 p.m., and in which the celebration is also contemplated. On Thursday, April 10, a round table, with representatives of companies from different services and products linked to the sector.

As the finishing touch to the day, a parade will be held where the new bridal collections, party and ceremony of some of the most emblematic designers in bridal fashion belonging to the Tenerife Moda collective will be announced, as well as the presence of guest designers from the sector Gran Canaria bridal.

The first exhibition of the bridal sector in Puerto de la Cruz will put an end to Tenerife Wedding Destination, which from 10 a.m. this Saturday will take place in the San Felipe Castle and will house everything that companies and professionals who carry out their activity in the city offer to make wedding events a unique experience in the tourist city.
