SAN SEBASTIAN DE LA GOMERA, Nov. 6 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The spokesman for the Gomera Socialist Group Parliamentary Group (ASG), Casimiro Curbelo, has insisted on social spending as a “pillar” of the state and Canarian budgets, according to the party in a press release.
In this sense, he will ask in the next plenary session of the Parliament of the Canary Islands about the social dimension that the next state and regional accounts will have, whose projects have begun their processing in the regional Chamber and in the Congress of Deputies.
For Curbelo, the approval of both laws “is essential”, given the investment they collect in terms of essential services and, therefore, the availability of resources to strengthen the social shield.
Here, he recalled that in the case of the islands, more than 7,000 million euros will be earmarked for this purpose. “We understand that this is the right path, offering responses from the public to be at the side of families and the most vulnerable groups,” she said.
In addition, he stated that he will also address the promotion of measures that strengthen the viability of companies on the islands.
To do this, it will delve into the relevance of the productive fabric as an economic “tractor” and will expose the usefulness of cooperation, from the public sphere, to face the situation that they have been suffering since the start of the pandemic.
