The Hindu community in the north of Tenerife celebrated Diwali this week, the most important festival of the year in India, a period to celebrate the triumph of the light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and good over evil. The India Club held a meeting in Puerto de la Cruz which was attended, among others, by the mayor of Puerto de la Cruz, Marco González, in the left image together with the president of the Hindu community in Santa Cruz and in the north of the Island, Sunil Rhijwani. The meeting was presented by two young people from the Hindu community in Tenerife, Sameer Khiani Mohinani and Milan Mansukhani Lachwani. At the meeting, typical Diwali sweets were tasted. |
