SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Nov. 3 (EUROPE PRESS) –

The regional deputy Narvay Quintero has announced that he is leaving the presidency of the Agrupación Herreña de Independientes (AHI) for “personal reasons” and to concentrate on his work in the regional Chamber while making himself available to the party to head the electoral list to the Parliament of the Canary Islands.

In a statement from the formation it is clarified that Quintero “will only be a candidate with the AHI and not with any other political formation” and that his organic responsibilities will now be exercised by the vice president, Javier Armas.

Quintero has stated that the party “needs intense work now more than ever, with very clear objectives and a large team, united and fully dedicated to working to achieve the best electoral results in May 2023.”

He has also insisted that he will concentrate “all his effort on parliamentary action to defend the interests of the men and women of El Hierro in the remainder of the Legislature”, thus fulfilling the “responsibility” granted by the militants.

From now on, Javier Armas’ objective will be to prepare the AHI to “achieve the best possible electoral results in the next elections and, once this task is completed, proceed with the renewal of the party’s governing bodies, including the new presidency”.
