SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Nov. 2 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Prosecutor’s Office of the Provincial Court of Santa Cruz de Tenerife requests a fine of 3,600 euros – at a rate of ten euros a day for a year – for a woman for not going to the constitution of an electoral table in Candelaria when she had been designated a member alternate in a General Election.
The indictment, collected by Europa Press, indicates that the woman knew her obligations and the consequences of not attending the appointment but no cause was presented or alleged before the Electoral Board to justify her absence.
The Prosecutor’s Office considers that the facts constitute an electoral crime and also asks for one day of deprivation of liberty for every two unpaid fees and disqualification for six months to exercise the right to passive suffrage.
The trial is held next Wednesday at 11:30 am in the fifth section of the Provincial Court.
